What downloading does, exactly. The app asks this site for one file, over HTTPS, because you tapped a button. It sends nothing back. There is no account, no identifier and nothing recorded about you — the only thing a web server learns is that a file was requested, which is what a web server is for.
Write your own. A session is small, readable JSON, and every key is optional. Download one, change the stacks or the styles, and open it from Files. The manual documents the whole format.
